Rodney J Greenley, age 65, of Adams, NY passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2012 in Lafayette, CO shortly after his brave journey to move his life across the country and be close to family in Colorado.
Born October 22, 1946 in Watertown, son of Arnold and Arlene Kellogg Greenley, he graduated from Adams High School. Following graduation he served in the US Navy from September 1964 through April 1969 and later the Army Reserves. Rod worked with his father and uncle Vincent at the Greenley Fuel & Oil Company in Adams for many years.
He is predeceased by his parents, Arnold Greenley and Arlene Perdicho and infant granddaughter Arden Davis.
Rod is survived by his three children and their spouses: Abigail (Michael) Davis of Vestal, NY, John (Nichole) Greenley of Lafayette, CO and Christopher Greenley of Hackettstown, NJ; six grandchildren: Truman & Allegra Davis, Juniper & Hazel Greenley and Jordan & Taylor Greenley; two brothers and their spouses: Arnold Dutch (Johanna) Greenley of Dacula, GA and Eric (Dixie) Greenley of Pensacola, FL; and two nephews: Adam Greenley of Virginia and Cyril French of Denver, CO
In addition, he will be greatly missed by close friend Elaine Thompson and his faithful dog, Biscuit.
He was a member of the Adams VFW and American Legion Don Rounds Post 586 and was a lifetime loyal NY sports fan who enjoyed Yankees and Giants games.
