ILION – Willard J. Bicknell, 81 formerly of London Towers, Ilion passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Folts Home, Herkimer with his loving family at his side.

He was born on August 6, 1931 in Malone, NY the son of the late John and Lillian Bicknell. He was educated in Oneida Indian Reservation schools.

Mr. Bicknell was a veteran of the US Army and a life member of Amvets Post # 777, Ilion.

Mr. Bicknell was employed for several years by Chuck Humphreville Paving Co., Ilion and later as a member of the road crew for the City of Utica DPW.

He was fond of animals, especially his dog Poco.

He is survived by two sons John Grower and Scott Bicknell both of Little Falls and a daughter Melissa Bicknell, Little Falls, his brother Roger Bicknell and 3 grandchildren Scott Bicknell, Jr., William Grower and Katie Grower.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside memorial services to be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the West Parishville Cemetery.
