SYRACUSE The Syracuse mens basketball team will take on Wagner for the first time since the 1992-93 season when they meet on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Carrier Dome.
The Orange were 34-3 overall and won the Big East Conference regular-season title with a 17-1 league record last season. Syracuse reached the NCAA Tournaments Elite Eight before losing to Ohio State.
Wagner returns nine letterwinners and four starters from a team that won a school-record 25 games and finished 25-6 overall. The Seahawks were 15-3 in the Northeast Conference. Bashir Mason, an assistant coach for the past two years, is in his first year as head coach after replacing Dan Hurley.
Syracuse has a 2-0 edge in the all-time series with Wagner.
