MASSENA — Christopher J. Kocienski, 29, of 1859 Route 420, Norfolk, was charged by state police on a St. Lawrence County Court bench warrant alleging criminal possession of a controlled substance at 12:40 p.m. Friday at 49 Brighton St.

The controlled substance was not identified. He also was charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

He was being held in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $500 bail.

In a related incident, Carissa R. Kirkey, 22, of 15 Warren Ave., was charged with obstruction of justice for allegedly lying to troopers about Mr. Kocienski’s whereabouts. She is to appear in Massena Town Court.
