Mayor of Gouverneur resigns

Chris Miller has stepped down as the mayor of Gouverneur, Times staffer Martha Ellen reports.

Mr. Miller, who was elected in 2011, was a convicted felon who is now going through bankruptcy.

The village will discuss Mr. Miller's replacement at Tuesday's meeting.
