DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charged Chad A. Dalton, 27, of Richville with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for driving thr wrong way on a one way street following a traffic stop at 2:51 a.m. Saturday on Union Street. Police said a traffic stop was initiated after he was observed traveling the wrong directionon Union Street.

He was additionally charged with fourth-degree attempted criminal mischief after he allegedly unsuccessfully attempted to kick the windows out of the patrol when he was being transported to the police station on the DWI charge. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.17 percent.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT - POTSDAM - Village police charged Daniel J. Zimmerman, 22, of Potsdam with disorderly conduct- obstructing traffic at 5:15a.m. Saturday on Market Street. Police said the charge was lodged after they responded to complaints of a male obstructing traffic on Market Street and throwing traffic cones. He was released on an appearance ticket for village court.
