ALEXANDRIA BAY An Onondaga woman drove back to Syracuse early Wednesday morning for an appointment, leaving her 10-year-old daughter alone in their unit at the Riveredge Resort, according to state police.
Her former husband informed state police of the situation after talking to he daughter by telephone, police said.
Cherene A. Carroll-Knaul, 40, Pompey, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and is ordered to appear in Village Court.
Police said she left the Riveredge at about 5:30 a.m. for her Syracuse destination, and her ex-husband called in his complaint at about 7 a.m. Mrs. Carroll-Knaul was reached by telephone and was instructed to return to the resort, which she did shortly before 10 a.m., police said.
