CARTHAGE — Joyce G. Terry, 82, formerly of 680 South James St., died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

She was born on February 3, 1930 in Beaver Falls to Arthur and Ione Delles Hopple. She graduated High School in Beaver Falls. She married Ivan Terry on May 16, 1948 in Beaver Falls. Mr. Terry died in 2005. She owned and operated Terry’s Kraft Korner where she was extremely proud of her needlework. She made two ornaments for the White House and they were personally presented to Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton.

She is a past member of the Carthage Baptist Church; the former Cross Stitching group, American Needlepoint Guild and during her high school years she played various instruments in a Country & Western band.

She is survived by four children; Brenda Best, Deer River; Penny Covey, Carthage; John Terry, Carthage; and Patsy Terry, Carthage. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A private burial will be held in the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage. Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage.
