Journey and Willie Nelson are booked to play invitation-only gigs during the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.

Nelson rolls into town Aug. 29 for a private show at the Dallas Bull. Journey’s VIP-only show Aug. 30 is expected to cap a week of entertainment at Liberty Plaza.

Local Journey fans can catch the band perform Aug. 14 at Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown with Loverboy. Reserved seats are $75 and general admission tickets, available at Kinney Drugs and Price Chopper, are $55. The concert is part of the Disabled Persons Action Organization/Car-Freshner Summer Concert Series.
