Jefferson Community College has asked a federal judge to dismiss an age discrimination lawsuit a former administrator filed.
Gail W. Miller, 68, of Chau-mont, the colleges former director of college outreach, filed a lawsuit May 22 in U.S. District Court, Syracuse, against the college, its board of trustees, Jefferson County, college President Carole A. McCoy and Sarah H. Baldwin, the colleges former vice president of administration, alleging her job was eliminated in 2010 in retaliation for her complaint to the trustees about age discrimination.
In a response filed Thursday, the college denied the claims and countered any alleged damages were caused by plaintiffs culpable conduct. The college contends that if any damages are awarded in the matter, they should be reduced accordingly.
Buffalo-area attorney James H. Cosgriff III filed the response on the colleges behalf.
