CANTON Local youngsters toured Cantons courthouse and 911 center Friday, marking the end of the summers Police Adventure Program.
Sponsored by the Canton Recreation Department and organized by Canton Police Department Officer Kevin J. Mousaw, the annual four-day program is geared toward kids interested in police work.
It was fun learning the kind of stuff police have to do at their job, said Preston Santimaw, 11, of Canton.
The program began Tuesday with a tour of the Municipal Building, continued Wednesday at the county jail and featured a K9 unit demonstration Thursday.
Preston said the demonstration, where an officer showed off the capabilities of his canine companion, was his favorite.
It was a riot, Officer Mousaw said. They loved the jail, too. That lasted like two hours.
