Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, will open a joint campaign office with the state Democratic Party next week in Watertown, says campaign manager James Hannaway.

Mr. Hannaway said it's a soft open at the Marcy Building, 167 Polk St. Danielle Freedman will work in the office. She's a state Democratic Party worker. A grand opening will be held at some point in August, Mr. Hannaway said.

Mr. Hannaway said that the Democratic Party will be paying for the office.

Mr. Owens' Nov. 6 opponent, Matt Doheny, has an office at 132 Court St.
