Michael D. Yarbrough, 44, of 383 Flower Ave. E., Apt. 2, was charged by Watertown police Sunday with second-degree criminal contempt.

It is alleged that about 2:50 p.m. he directed a phone call he was making toward Cynthia M. Garnsey, same address, in which he told the person he was speaking with to “beat Garnsey up,” in violation of a City Court order of protection ordering him to refrain from such behavior. He is due to answer the charge in City Court.
