ADAMS — Janet Ackerman, 93, of Adams, NY, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday July 7, 2012 at Wilson Hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Leonard J. Ackerman. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen and Tom Barnhart of Binghamton, Joan and Robert Moore of Denver, Pa.; sister Millicent Morgan of PA; grandchildren Robert Jessman, Rebecca Miller, Kelly Means, Jill Evans; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She retired from Hall Ski Lift Co. in 1983, she was a member of Adams United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Kountry Kousins Square Dance Club for many years.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene 1282 Chenango Street Binghamton. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12-1pm at the church. Burial will be in Turin Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice Program 4102 Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.

Arrangements are by the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main Street Johnson City.
