Ryan C. Christopher, 24, of 435 S. Hycliff Drive, Apt. 608-B, was charged by Watertown police at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment.

It is alleged that he placed Lana M. Carroll, same address, in a choke hold, applying pressure to her throat that caused her to have difficulty breathing. It is also alleged that he grabbed her by the jaw and slammed her head against a wall during a domestic incident.

He is due to answer the charges in City Court.
