"One of my favorite things to do is just get in my car and go meet people," Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, says in a new campaign video, "and when you represent the north country, that's a lot of driving, and a lot of great people."
The video sketches out what Mr. Owens will tell those people when he meets them over the next four months as he vies for re-election against Republican Matt Doheny on Nov. 6.
With sleeves rolled up (taking care of business) and a calm, straightforward demeanor (reasonable moderate), Mr. Owens talks about: doing away with tax breaks for companies that send jobs overseas, getting tough on China, cutting spending, the Ryan budget, and his own job creation record (which Republicans have disputed in the past).
