Andrew S. LaFave, 30, of 207 Central St., Apt. 3, who has been jailed since May 26, when a witness fingered him as the Daffy Duck graffiti writer, was cited Thursday by Watertown police in connection with a wall marking 10 days before his arrest.
Mr. LaFave has been held under $5,000 bail in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building since May 26, when he was charged with three counts of making graffiti and single counts of possessing a graffiti instrument and marijuana. He was apprehended at the American Corner of Public Square after a witness used her cellphone, not only to call 911, but also to provide police with digital photograph evidence.
On Thursday, police added another charge of making graffiti. He is accused of spray-painting the word Daffy in block letters on the wall at Bernardos Pizzeria, 702 Coffeen St., according to a police document. The damage was reported the night of May 16 by business owner Bernard J. Tufo Jr.
