McCreadie claims Outlaws race

Tim McCreadie won the World of Outlaws late model series race Friday night at Quebec’s Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec.

The Watertown native made it three wins in his last nine starts on the series tour. McCreadie took the lead on lap 23 of the 50-lap feature. He held off points leader Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., for the win, which was worth $10,650 for McCreadie and his race team.

Tim Fuller of Watertown finished third, his best finish in the series this season. Fuller started the race on the outside pole.

Billy Dunn of Watertown won the Mr. DIRTcar 358 modified series event Thursday night at the Mohawk International Raceway in Akwesasne. Dunn set the pace through most of the race despite several cautions. Dale Planck finished second and Erik Rudolph took third.

Reigning sportsman champion Dylan Evoy won the sportsman feature, and Brent Kelsey took second and Jessica Power was third. Mathieu Aubin won his second straight bandit race. Matt Zira finished second and Corey Castell was third.

Bryan Green rallied late in the 12-lap mod lites feature to cross the finish line first. Joel Hargrave was second and Mathieu Robinson third. Ghislain Valade won the pro stock series race with George Renaud taking second and PJ Peters third.

Larry Wight became the eighth different winner in the big-block modified feature Friday night at the Brewerton Speedway.
