A Watertown man was resentenced Tuesday in Jefferson County Court to nine months in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building after admitting he violated terms of probation.

Jamie R. Smith, 36, address not confirmed, admitted he violated supervision by being convicted of endangering the welfare of a child while on probation, by being charged with menacing and harassment and by failing to pay fines. He was serving three years’ probation imposed in December 2010 for convictions of misdemeanor DWI and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

In other court activity:

Sade D. Emerson, 23, of 11773 Jerden Falls Road, Croghan, was sentenced to five years’ probation for May 18 guilty pleas to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and petit larceny as a result of separate incidents. He admitted that he sold heroin May 25 in Watertown and that he was with someone who stole a purse containing a debit card Oct. 13 in the town of Pamelia. His probation supervision will be transferred to Lewis County.

Brandon M. Perry, 19, Ogdensburg, was sentenced to five years’ probation and a $1,500 fine for April 20 guilty pleas to driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated driving while ability impaired by drugs with a child in the vehicle. He admitted he was driving Oct. 30 on Arsenal Street while under the influence of a controlled substance with two children, ages 2 and 7, as passengers. He also was ordered to install an ignition interlock device on any vehicle he owns or operates, and his driver’s license was revoked.

Ryan D. Gilligan, 17, of 355 S. Esselstyne St., Cape Vincent, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and is due to be sentenced Aug. 8. He admitted that on Jan. 23, he possessed forged checks in the town of Cape Vincent.

Shane A. Rice, 21, who was released Monday from the Cape Vincent Correctional Facility, was arraigned as a fugitive from Pennsylvania, where he is wanted on warrant alleging that he absconded from parole supervision. He served a one-to-three-year state prison sentence for a second-degree burglary conviction in Cattaraugus County. He waived his extradition rights and agreed to return to Pennsylvania to face matters there.
