Adams - Gail E. Trapiss, 55, of East Church Street, died Wednesday evening at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Memorial Service will be 11:00am Tuesday, June19, at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. Rev. Mary Drake, pastor of the Mannsville and Lorraine Methodist Churches will be officiating. Burial will be private. Calling hours are 6:00-9:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Born August 23, 1956 in Noranda, Quebec Canada, daughter of Victor and Marilyn Presley Sands, she graduated in 1974 from Jefferson High School, Rochester, NY. She married Ronald Trapiss of Rochester in 1974. The couple lived in Rochester before moving to Pierrepont Manor in 1986. The marriage later ended in divorce.

Mrs. Trapiss managed the Pierrepont Manor store and later as a deli and bakery manager at Rods Big M in Adams and Sandy Creek.

She is survived by her long time companion Michael Weston, Adams; her mother, Marilyn Sands, Rochester; three sons, Cory and Heather Trapiss, Macedon, James Trapiss, Adams Center, Michael Weston II, Adams; two daughters, Christine Trapiss and companion Josh Peter, Lacona, Amy Phillips, Sandy Creek; five grandchildren, four brothers, Douglas Sands, William Sands, James Sands and Richard Sands and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her father Victor Sands.

Gail enjoyed her Secret Pals Club, bowling and flower gardening.
