BLACK RIVER- Katherine A. Manford, 64, of LeRay Street died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY.

Born February 19, 1948 in Watertown, she was the daughter of the late Homer and the late Dorothy Weaver Segovis. She graduated from Indian River High School, Philadelphia, NY in 1965.

A marriage to Jerry Manford ended in divorce.

Mrs. Manford enjoyed cooking, baking, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, reading and animals. She was the Black River Citizen of the Year in 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Jay, Livingston, MT and Jody, Savannah, GA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucky and Charles Hall, Antwerp and Carol LaValley, Watertown; three nephews, a niece; a great nephew; six great nieces; and a great great niece.

A brother, Ronald Segovis and a sister, Linda Ellis died before her.

A graveside service will be 11 am Monday at Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium.
