Eric R. Bartholomew, 25, of 608 Davidson St., who is serving three years probation for shoplifting at the outer Arsenal Street Walmart Supercenter, was back at the store Thursday evening stealing again, state police allege.
Mr. Bartholomew was being held Friday in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, with bail set at $1,000 by Pamelia Town Justice Richard C. Baker. He faces charges of petit larceny, endangering the welfare of a child and trespassing.
Police said he stole merchandise priced at $445.54 while being accompanied in the store by a 12-year-old boy. Because of another shoplifting case last year, he had been told to stay out of the store, prompting the trespass charge, police said. He was convicted of petit larceny in last years incident and was given probation.
