EVANS MILLS State police arrested both a husband and wife late Thursday after the wife allegedly clubbed her husband on the arm with a broom handle.
Shonte M. Greer, 41, of 25914 Red Tail Lane, is charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, while Walter J. Greer, 29, same address, faces a harassment charge. Both were released following arraignment before LeRay Town Justice George E. Mead III.
Mr. Greer is accused of grabbing his wife by the shirt and slapping her in the face, police said. When he was struck on the arm, he suffered a deep cut, police said.
The mischief charge is for breaking the broom, listed as marital property.
