Wanda J. Benedict Bedore, 42, of 1014 State St., Apt. 4, was arrested Monday afternoon by the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department on a warrant charging second-degree bail jumping.
She is accused of failing to return to Jefferson County Court last September for continuation of proceedings on her July 2010 conviction for first-degree criminal nuisance, having been indicted on an allegation that she allowed her residence to be used as a place where drug sales occurred.
When convicted, she was ordered to attend Drug Court, which included a stay in a residential substance abuse rehabilitation program. She allegedly absconded from the treatment program while under Drug Court supervision, leading to the bail-jumping charge.
Ms. Bedore also was convicted of attempted third-degree sale of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in February 2009 in County Court.
Town of Watertown Justice Andrew N. Capone ordered her held without bail in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building to await further proceedings.
