POTSDAM The Clarkson University mens hockey team will have 18 home games next season according to a schedule released by the school Friday.
Clarkson opens the 2012-13 season with an exhibition game against Ottawas Carleton University at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. The season officially starts with a pair of road games at Colorado College on Oct. 12-13.
Clarksons home opener will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20, with a game against Holy Cross. Niagara visits Cheel Arena for a pair of games the following weekend.
The other nonconference games for the Golden Knights involve two road games at Canisius (Nov. 3-4), a game at the Rochester Institute of Technology (Nov. 23), a game against St. Lawrence University in Lake Placid (Dec. 8), a home game against Mercyhurst (Dec. 15) and home games against UMass.-Lowell (Jan. 4-5).
Clarkson opens ECAC Hockey play with road games against Yale and Brown on Nov. 9-10 and has its first home games the following weekend against Quinnipiac and Princeton.
The Golden Knights play at SLU on Wednesday, Dec. 5 and host the Saints on Saturday, Jan. 19.
