OGDENSBURG The Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club will hold its annual charity auction tonight at 6 at the Oddfellows Lodge.
Normally we have about 100 businesses who donate to the auction, and its on average $20 or $25, said auction chairman Jeffrey R. Swanson. A variety of items will be available, he said, as well as more than 50 gift certificates to local restaurants, shops and businesses. Another staple of the auction is flowers, he said.
Bob Kosman will once again volunteer as auctioneer.
Money raised at the auction is used to fund scholarships the club awards each year. In addition to scholarships, the Kiwanis Club serves more than 800 local children each year through its soccer and baseball programs and sponsorship of the Key Club at Ogdensburg Free Academy.
Admission to the auction is free.
