A student at Watertown High School was charged Tuesday by city police in the alleged possession of an iPod that was stolen from another student.
John S. VanSlyke, 17, a resident of the Childrens Home of Jefferson County, 1704 State St., is summoned for arraignment in City Court on a charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police allege that on Monday he possessed an iPod belonging to Brittany K. Steffek, 17, which was reported stolen on May 4.
