CANTON - The St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force charged Jennifer M. Ross, 27, of 1111 Lafayette St., Ogdensburg, and Kacie T. Whitney, 25, of 901 Mechanic St., Ogdensburg, with third-degree criminal sale of marijuana Tuesday following an investigation into a specific case of marijuana trafficking in the Canton/Ogdensburg area, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff Kevin Wells.

Police said their investigation determined marijuana was being transported from Ogdensburg to Canton, where it was sold. Police said the Drug Task Force members recovered approximately three ounces of marijuana and $2,288 in U.S.currency.

Ross and Whitney were arraigned by Pierrepont Town Justice Robert Camp and sent to the St. Lawrence County

Correctional Facility with bail set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

Canton Village Police, Ogdensburg City Police and SUNY Potsdam Police assisted in the investigation.
