Jefferson CC splits with Mohawk Valley CC
Amanda Moseley went a combined 4-for-6 and drove in a total of five runs to help the Jefferson Community College softball team to a Region 3 doubleheader split against Mohawk Valley CC on Thursday in Watertown. The Cannoneers (12-17 overall, 10-15 region) won the first game, 4-1, before the Hawks took the nightcap, 14-10.
Moseley had a two-run double and added a third RBI in the opener to support winning pitcher Lindsey Croneiser. Moseley then had a double and two RBIs in the nightcap, while Croneiser added two hits, including a double, and three RBI.
Mohawk Valley CC (10-12, 10-12) was powered to victory in the nightcap, thanks to Randie Strumpsler, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI and two runs scored.
