ADAMS Kyle Simmons struck out nine in a three-hit shutout as the Watertown baseball team beat South Jefferson, 1-0, in a Frontier League crossover game on Thursday.
Jared Bellinger drove in the games only run on a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning for the Cyclones (8-4 overall, 6-0 league). Ryan Bajjaly went 2-for-3.
Nick Barker doubled, and Mitchell Modlin gave up just four hits for the Spartans (4-5, 3-3).
IHC 2, GENERAL BROWN 1
Robin Massey tossed a complete game two-hitter, and drove in both of the Cavaliers runs with a first-inning double in their crossover victory over the Lions at Dexter.
Massey finished with six strikeouts for Immaculate Heart (4-2, 3-2).
Jordan Delaney tallied 11 strikeouts, and surrendered just three hits while going the distance for General Brown (3-6, 2-5).
A-P-W 6, INDIAN RIVER 5
Greg Palmer drove in the game-tying run in the seventh inning, and Skylar Wheeler supplied the walk-off hit in the eighth as the Rebels rallied past the Warriors for a crossover victory at Parish.
David Redford finished with two hits, and pitched all eight innings for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (3-6, 2-5).
Brady Bombard provided a pair of hits for Indian River (2-5, 1-5).
SACKETS HARBOR 13, BEAVER RIVER 4
Colton Belcher drove in four runs on three hits, including a double, as the Patriots beat the visiting Beavers in a crossover game.
Ryan Allen knocked in two runs with a double and Cameron Allen added two hits for Sackets Harbor (8-2).
Evan Lyndaker supplied two hits for Beaver River (6-2).
SOFTBALL
GENERAl BROWN 13, IHC 0
Jessica Niles hit two home runs as General Brown blanked IHC in a Frontier League crossover game at Brownville Elementary School in Glen Park.
Deleha Decker went 4-for-5 with a double, and Samantha Giruzzi finished 2-for-4 with a triple for General Brown (11-1, 7-1).
Mikayla Kolb provided two hits for Immaculate Heart (2-6, 0-5).
SOUTH JEFFERSON 12, WATERTOWN 0
Heather Williams tallied nine strikeouts and allowed just two hits in a complete game shutout, leading the Spartans past the Cyclones in a crossover game at Adams Center.
Williams also supplied three hits for South Jefferson (7-3, 5-3), while Kirsten Stewart drove in three runs on three hits.
Alyssa Esterline and Kadie Weed each contributed a hit for Watertown (0-6, 1-5).
SANDY CREEK 14, LAFARGEVILLE 1
Michaela Martin surrendered just one hit to go with nine strikeouts in six innings, and Kylee Martin went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs to power the Comets to a crossover win over the visiting Red Knights.
Karintha Myslivecek went 4-for-4, and Jordan Miller hit a two-run home run for Sandy Creek (10-1).
LaFargeville dropped to 5-5, 4-5.
A-P-W 18, INDIAN RIVER 2
Megan Phillips finished with a home run, a double, a single and three RBIs in the Rebels crossover victory over the Warriors in Parish.
Amber Rice and Tori Stanton knocked in two runs apiece for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (11-1, 9-1).
Lakeisha Barnes doubled for Indian River (2-4, 1-3).
BEAVER RIVER 14, SACKETS HARBOR 5
Cristen Davis doubled, tripled, and drove in two runs to lead the Beavers past the host Patriots in a crossover game.
Megan Bush went 2-for-4 with two doubles for Beaver River (6-4).
Marissa Williams finished 2-for-4 Sackets Harbor (1-11, 1-9).
CHATEAUGAY 12, LISBON 1
Courtney Boyea struck out 12 and scattered four hits as Chateaugay knocked off the Golden Knights (0-6) in a Northern Athletic Conference nonleague game in Lisbon.
Boyea also had three hits for the Bulldogs (5-0). Holly Zeldenrust doubled and singled twice for Chateaugay and Shelby Coleman had three hits.
Natali Pitts had two hits for Lisbon.
BOYS LACROSSE
WATERTOWN 11, GENERAL BROWN 7
Mitchell Ricks four goals led the Cyclones to a Frontier League crossover win against the Lions at Watertown High School.
Eric Soderquist added three goals, and Matt Netto made 13 saves for Watertown (10-1, 7-1).
Michael Roukous and David Damon scored two goals apiece for General Brown (5-6, 3-5).
CARTHAGE 14, SOUTH JEFFERSON 4
Joey Hayes tallied a team-high six points on three goals and three assists to lead the Comets to a crossover victory over the host Spartans.
Dan Conlin and Bailey Wilkinson each finished with four goals and one assist for Carthage (10-3, 8-1), and Paul Bracy won 9-of-12 faceoffs to go with an assist.
Hunter Merrill made 17 saves and Brett Maguire generated two assists for South Jefferson (3-9, 2-7).
