RICHVILLE — The village of Richville with a population of 323 unofficially placed 17 in the Reader’s Digest We Hear You America contest, winning $5,000 to replace playground equipment.

Lyons Falls also made the top 50 but did not place high enough to win money.

Online voting ended Thursday, but Reader’s Digest has started a new campaign, Searching for America’s Most Interesting Town.

Individuals may log on to www.ReadersDigest.com/America to share stories about what makes their town special. The author of the winning story will receive a cash prize of $1,000 and their town will be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue of Reader’s Digest.
