Clarkson meets St. Lawrence University Saturday night in Lake Placid for the second straight year. The Golden Knights won their fourth straight game against SLU on Tuesday, gaining a 5-3 victory in Appleton Arena.

CLARKSON HOCKEY TEAM TURNS BACK SAINTS, 1-0

Potsdam, Feb. 15. - The Clarkson hockey team won from St. Lawrence Saturday afternoon at the Ives Park rink in the first game ever played between the institutions. The play was considerably hampered by bad ice from around the sides and near the north end cage which St. Lawrence defended for two periods.

The lone tally was caked by Northup almost immediately after the opening of the second period. It came on a short shot from scrimmage.

The play was in the visitors' territory the most of the time, making it necessary for the goal guard Schwartz, to keep very alert.

The Clarkson guard had but little to do. Wayland, Clarkson defense, was in the stellar role, with McCartney and Northup supporting him. Appleton, St. Lawrence, played a good game.
