UTICA — General Brown graduate Ben Mack has become the first lacrosse player in Utica College history to be inducted into the Pioneer Hall of Fame.

Mack was one of four former student-athletes in the class of 2011.

Mack was not only a member of the college’s first varsity men’s lacrosse team, but he also scored the program’s first three goals, and was the program’s first offensive Most Valuable Player. He was the first player in program history to reach the 100-point milestone and was the program’s first and only two-time captain.

A two-time offensive MVP (2000, 2001), the team’s offensive MVP award was named for Mack in 2009.

Originally from Dexter, Mack attended Jefferson Community College after graduating from General Brown.

He resides in the Syracuse area where he is a bank manager at Bank of America.

He is the son of Gary and the late Yoshiko Mack.
