Business succession plans topic of Thursday forum

Owners or managers of family-owned businesses who plan to retire within the next decade can learn about implementing a succession plan during a four-hour workshop.

The workshop will be held 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce and 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Ramada Inn, Arsenal Street, Watertown.

Topics will include developing a practical plan based on the business's situation, developing the next generation of leadership, creating a leadership development strategy and supporting success through key practices.

Registration is due Friday online at www.citec.org or by e-mail at wilson@citec.org. The cost is $60 for the first person and $40 for additional people.
