Cougars pull upset behind Fuller's 25

RUSSELL — Ben Fuller scored 25 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Edwards-Knox boys basketball team to a 64-52 upset of Hermon-DeKalb in a Northern Athletic Conference West Division boys basketball game on Friday.

Jon Davison and David Bullock each scored 12 for the Cougars (10-6 overall, 9-4 division).

Connor Whitton scored 16 points to lead the Demons (14-3, 12-2) and Jon Peters added 14.

HARRISVILLE 54, HAMMOND 48

Colin Baker scored 16 points and Gavin Kiggins added 15 to lead the Pirates (8-7, 8-5) past the Red Devils in a West Division game in Hammond.

Griff Stark-Ennis scored 16 to lead Hammond (3-13, 3-10).

MORRISTOWN 45, CLIFTON-FINE 42

Conner Learn's 17 points sparked the Green Rockets past the Eagles in a West Division game in Star Lake.

Jeff King added 12 for Morristown (3-14, 2-11).

Tim Fetterhoff had 23 points with 13 rebounds for Clifton-Fine (1-15, 1-11).

Trevor Bacon scored 19 points for the Red Raiders in a Central Division win in Massena.

Brady Condlin added 15 points and 13 rebounds for Massena (13-4, 7-3), while Troy Myers tossed in 13. Austin Dunlavey grabbed 11 rebounds for the Huskies (7-8, 4-6).

Troy McAdam scored 16 points in a bittersweet win for the second-seeded Lions in the Frontier League "B" Division semifinals at Jefferson Community College.

Starting point guard Dallas Thomas left in the opening five minutes with an ankle injury and could miss the rest of the playoffs for General Brown (10-6), according to coach Brian Nortz. Sam Massaro chipped in 11 points for the Lions.

Dillon Knights scored 14 points, while Shane Hoag supplied 12 points for Lowville (6-10).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 56, APW 32

Akeebu Lettsome scored 19 points as the No. 1 seeded Spartans routed the Rebels in a "B" Division semifinal at JCC.

A. J. Chartrand added 15 points for South Jefferson (12-4).

APW dropped to 2-14.

Brushton-Moira took an early 24-3 lead and cruised past the Larries in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division game in Brasher Falls.

Shayna Russell scored 26 points for the Panthers (14-0, 11-0) with Taylor Keck tossing in 12. Autumn Irwin led the Larries (6-8, 3-8) with 13 points.

Alex Martin scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Yellow Jackets (11-4, 8-3) past the Panthers in an East Division game in Madrid.

Kacie Wentworth led the Golden Bears (6-8, 1-6) with 16 points in a Central Division win in Canton. Emily Archibald added 11 points for Canton.

Drew Kellogg contributed one goal and one assist for the Vikings in a first-round game of the Thousand Islands Memorial Tournament in Clayton.

The game also counted in the Northern Athletic Conference Division II standings. Thousand Islands plays Buffalo Sweet Home in the title game at 3 p.m. today.

Chris Hunt provided two assists, Nate Kemp also scored, and Tyler Sorrell made 18 saves for Thousand Islands (4-13, 3-11).

Goalie Aziel Snyder stopped 28 shots for the Purple Ghosts (6-9, 3-8).

Mike Biggane capped Sweet Home's comeback at 2 minutes, 55 seconds of overtime in the Thousand Islands Tournament at Clayton.

OFA will face Alexandria in the consolation game at 1 p.m. today.

Adam Titanic, Ryan Kaufman and John Rein scored in the third period for Sweet Home after falling behind 3-0 after the second period.

Erik Whitcombe, Eric Barr and Ross Klossner scored for Ogdensburg Free Academy (9-5-2).

Devin Coon registered a hat trick and assisted on another goal as the Storm earned the Section 3 Division II West victory at Cicero.

Tyler Decker chipped in with one goal and one assist, and Hunter VanHorn added two assists for Ontario Bay (11-7-1, 7-7-1). Goalie Justin Geddings turned away 19 shots.

Will Bernatovich recorded one goal and one assist for Central Square (1-17-1, 0-14-1).
