FORT COVINGTON — Katie Hamelin scored three goals, becoming the all-time leading goal-scorer in Section 10 history with her final tally as Chateaugay beat Salmon River 7-2 in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division girls soccer game Tuesday.

Hamelin, with her 135th career goal, broke the mark of 134 set by Lisbon's Riane Fletcher, who ended her career in 2006.

"I was under a lot of pressure so it was a really good feeling," Hamelin said. "I honestly did not think I'd have it. I knew people would mark me up this year. I think I worked hard for it, so I'm glad I could achieve it. It will be a memory that I'll never forget."

Hamelin added an assist. Nikki Cooke-Paige added two goals and one assist for the Bulldogs (13-3 overall, 12-1 division). Marissa Cook and Philicia LaBare also scored for Chateaugay. Calandra Curleyhead and Joelle Porter scored for Salmon River (4-9-2, 4-7-2).
