I have been watching the TV lately and listening to the radio to find out what our candidates have to offer to better our nation and its people. There certainly is a lot of people bashing. Some are talking against Mr. McCain being too old, and his cancer could return. These people who are doing this are certainly immature.

For example, I came down with cancer at age 73. I has hired at Fort Drum when I was 76 years old, to shovel snow off roofs and the lights off the runway at the airport, and I would keep up with the best of them.

Our country is in deep trouble. Many of our leaders are out there for power and personal gain. The effort should be: What can I do for my country and our neighbors?

It was a breath of fresh air when a person named Sarah Palin came on the scene. She talks the language of us common folks and has appeared for a time such as this.

I am reminded of a truth in the Bible where Esther was chosen by God to save the children of Israel from extinction.

When we get to the voting booth, we should examine all of our choices and realize that we are living in perilous times, and our vote for truth does count.
