Couple in fair condition

after motorcycle crash

PULASKI — An Oswego County couple whose motorcycle slammed into the rear of a car at Route 13 and County Route 2A in the town of Richland Sunday afternoon were listed Monday in fair condition at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse.

Gary R. Schipper, 71, Mexico, suffered arm and leg fractures, and his wife, Ann, 67, had leg fractures, according to state police.

The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m., when troopers said Mr. Schipper struck a car driven by Mary S. Cheney, 57, Lacona, who was stopped on Route 13 waiting for traffic so she could make a left turn.

No summonses were issued.

Teens accused of stealing

stereo from impound lot

MASSENA — Two village teenagers face charges for reportedly stealing a stereo from a car stored at an impound lot last month, village police said.

Chad N. Curran, 16, of 38 Pine St., and Joshua J. Love, 17, of 153 N. Main St., were each charged Sunday with third-degree trespassing and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

They reportedly broke into the Triple A impound lot Sept. 20 to steal the car stereo.

Mr. Love also was charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing a bicycle from a Grinnell Avenue porch that belonged to a disabled person. Both were issued appearance tickets for Massena Village Court.

other's credit card info

EVANS MILLS — A town of LeRay woman awaits grand jury action on allegations that she used another woman's credit card information to pay off a $525 bill owed to Time Warner Cable, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Rachelle J. Moyer, 19, of 26925 Libby Lane, is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree identity theft.

Documents at the sheriff's office indicate she paid her bill Sept. 8 using credit card data belonging to Ashley N. McComas, 27011 Eldon Drive.

Police say woman stole

from other's bank account

MANNSVILLE — Rebecca J. Minnick, 31, of 487 County Route 90, was placed in Oswego County Jail on Sunday after being charged by the Oswego County Sheriff's Department with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Bail was set at $500 in town of Scriba Court.

Deputies alleged that after her power of attorney for another person's checking account was revoked, she made withdrawals from the account for more than $1,000.

She awaits grand jury action.

Adams man is arrested

after scuffle with police

City police officers went to 460 S. Massey St. early Monday to handle a loud-music complaint and ended up in a scuffle with an Adams man.

Wesley T. Roberts, 20, County Route 91, was charged with harassment and resisting arrest.

Police said he pushed Officer Nicole J. Marchiony, and then attempted to strike officers as he was being taken into custody.

Man accused of making

threatening call to wife

ADAMS — Paul D. Perry, 43, of 11237 County Route 77, was charged Sunday night by state police with aggravated harassment and is due to appear in town of Adams Court.

Police said he is accused of making a threatening telephone call to his wife, Cheryl.
