More than $25,000 raised by 2nd breast cancer walk

The second annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will have raised $25,000 after all funds are collected by month's end, said Donald J. Boshart, community executive director of Jefferson and Lewis counties for the American Cancer Society.
About 305 walkers attended the Oct. 11 walk.
Last year, the event raised more than $20,000.
Funds will be used toward the American Cancer Society's research, education and outreach programs, advocacy and patient services.
