"The big powers are going down. They have come to the end of their power, and the world is on the verge of entering a new, promising era." — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a keynote speech to foreign ministers of the Nonaligned Movement meeting in Tehran last week.
Analysts noted that the Iranian leader's address reflected what some NAM members feel — that they are in a struggle against the world's rich and powerful countries.
But the group of more than 100 countries should have chosen someone other than the Iranian president to deliver the keynote address.
