Police charge four with DWI
SUNDAY, JULY 20, 2008

The following people face charges of driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Juan M. Carbajal, 43, Sodus, was charged Friday with felony DWI after being stopped on East Main Street in Malone, village police said. He also was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, failure to keep right and not wearing a seat belt. His blood alcohol content wasn't available.

The felony charge indicates a DWI conviction within the past 10 years. He was arraigned in Malone Village Court and sent to Franklin County jail, Malone, on $1,000 bail.

■ Jessica R. Gazzillo, 26, of 6713 Erie Canal Road, Lowville, was charged at 3:24 a.m. Saturday with aggravated DWI, unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, Lewis County sheriff's deputies said. Her BAC was 0.19 percent, police said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ Corey J. Streit, 22, of 154 Selleck Road, Canton, also was charged Friday with not having a lamp light after being stopped on Route 56 in the town of Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. His blood alcohol content wasn't available.

■ Brian K. Binder, 30, Lyndhurst, also was charged with unsafe backing at 1:32 a.m. Saturday at 1309 State St., Watertown city police said. His BAC was 0.16 percent. He was ordered held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $500 cash bail.
