Six people are facing DWI and other charges

The following are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Paul E. Barner, 24, Hamburg, was arrested by state police at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday on charges of aggravated DWI and driving without headlights on Route 12 in Clayton. Police said he was seen driving without lights on Webb Street.

He had a blood alcohol level of 0.19 percent, police said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ Thomas J. Leeson, 30, of 177 Country Club Road, Gouverneur, was charged Wednesday with felony DWI after being stopped on Route 812 in the town of Pitcairn, state police said.

He also was charged with failure to keep right and failure to inform the state Department of Motor Vehicles of a change of address. Mr. Leeson, who has a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years, registered a 0.12 percent BAC, police said.

■ Casey M. Robertson, 40, of 170 St. Lawrence Ave., Waddington, was charged by state police with aggravated DWI, failure to keep right, failure to signal a turn and having no plate lamp at 1:35 a.m. Thursday on Canton Street in Ogdensburg. She tested at 0.20 percent BAC, police said.

■ Gary J. Sommers, 63, West Henrietta, was charged Monday after being stopped on County Route 2 in the town of Morristown, state police said. He registered a 0.15 percent BAC, police said. He also was charged with failure to keep right.

■ Matthew D. Crobar, 23, of 577 County Route 14, Canton, also was charged July 8 with failure to stop for a stop sign, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. He was stopped on Washington Street in the town of Oswegatchie and registered a 0.11 percent BAC, police said.

■ Steven M. Point, 54, Cherry Street, Lyons Falls, was arrested by state police at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday on Route 12 in the town of Turin, where he initially was cited with speeding at 71 mph in a 55-mph speed zone. Police listed his test reading at 0.15 percent BAC.
