MASSENA — The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to clean up the Water Street site where the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center of Northern New York will be built.
The cleanup will start at 8 a.m. Aug. 9.
"I believe the community will come together to pitch in," Salvation Army Maj. William J. Lynch said.
Work to be done includes picking up trash, cutting wood and mowing the lawn. Volunteers are asked to bring yard tools and other supplies, including rakes, lawn mowers, garbage bags and chain saws. Anyone interested in volunteering should call 769-5154.
