HOGANSBURG — John Lazore patiently worked his way toward the front and didn't let losing the lead affect him as he rebounded to pick up a win in the 25-lap, 358-modified feature Saturday night at the Mohawk International Raceway.
Lazore worked his way into the top five early in the race and gained the lead by the 10th lap. He was passed by Carey Terrance on the 19th lap but kept close. Terrance suffered a tire problem late, and by lap 24, Lazore had regained the lead for good.
Louie Jackson started fourth in the pro stock feature, passed Jody Swamp on the 13th lap and held onto the lead the rest of the way to claim victory. Mike Allen took the lead early in the semipro feature and picked up a win for the second straight week, and Eli Gilbert also earned his second straight win in the bandit division. Kevin Thompson claimed the enduro feature win.
PLANCK DOMINATES RACE
Dale Planck of Cortland dominated the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar series race Saturday night at Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, Quebec. Planck led all 100 laps of the feature. Billy Decker of Unadilla finished second, and Steve Paine of Waterloo took third.
FULLER FINISHES EIGHTH
Tim Fuller of Watertown finished eighth in Saturday night's World of Outlaws late model show at the "Energy City 50'' at the Estevan Motor Speedway in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Brady Smith of Solon Springs, Wis., won his second straight late model tour race.
MCKNIGHT, BARBEAU WIN
Dave McKnight Jr. won the supermodfied feature Saturday night at the Oswego Speedway. It was his first win at the speedway since 1987.
In the PathFinder Bank small-block supermodified race, Tim Barbeau won his first feature at the speedway this season.
WITKO TOPS FIELD
Jim Witko captured the 35-lap modified feature Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway. Tim Sears and Willy Decker finished second and third, respectively.
Gregg Carner won the 20-lap sportsman feature, with Jeremy Pitcher finishing second.
