Former Carthage standouts Ryan and Mikey Powell have been selected play in the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game.
Ryan Powell, a member of the Western Conference-leading Denver Outlaws, was named an all-star for the fifth time. Mikey Powell, of the Boston Cannons, will play for the Eastern Conference and is a four-time selection.
Former Syracuse player Steven Brooks, who plays for the Chicago Machine, also was named an all-star.
The game is scheduled for 10 p.m. July 17 at Invesco Field in Denver. ESPN2 is scheduled to broadcast the game live.
