Carthage's Robert Grimm, who helped lead the Comets to the state Class B lacrosse championship game, has been named All-Central New York Co-Player of the Year as chosen by a panel of coaches.
Grimm, who will play for the UMBC next season, scored 80 goals and added 67 assists this season to share the honor with West Genesee's Luke Cometti.
Carthage teammates Zach Mulvaney, a senior midfielder, and David Gallagher, a senior defenseman, were also chosen for the first team. And Carthage coach Kirk Ventiquattro shared Coach of the Year honors with Mike Messere of West Genesee.
Carthage goalie Kyle Gaebel was a second-team All-CNY pick, while Watertown attackman Brett McAuliffe, Carthage midfielder Ben Koster, and South Jefferson defenseman Jake Smith made the third team.
