Brother of two SU lax players killed in crash

SYRACUSE — In a statement released Wednesday, Syracuse University announced that Aaron Guadagnolo, the brother of Orange men's lacrosse players Kyle and Thomas Guadagnolo, was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night in the town of Elbridge.

A state police report said Aaron, 21, was driving his 2008 Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a car leaving a driveway. Police said he was thrown from the bike and was unconscious at the scene. He died later at the hospital.

Kyle Guadagnolo is a senior captain and defenseman for Syracuse, and Thomas is a freshman defenseman.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Kyle, Thomas and the whole Guadagnolo family," SU coach John Desko said in a statement. "In situations like this, lacrosse takes a back seat. As a team, we are going to rally around them and support them any way we can."Syracuse plays Virginia in the national semfinals at noon Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass

St. Lawrence received a commitment from one of Bollig's teammates in March. Stars winger Rick Carden will also suit up for the Saints this fall.
