The Globe MiniMall has been cited for a violation by the city of Watertown Codes Department because of facade defects.
Code Enforcement Supervisor Shawn R. McWayne said his department sent a letter to the building's owner, Jeffrey E. Lowe, of Syracuse, on May 14 notifying him that repairs need to be made.
The facade is falling off in "good sized pieces," he said.
Mr. McWayne said Mr. Lowe has until the end of the week to respond to the letter. If he doesn't, the city can pursue legal action or condemn the building at 302 Court St.
"I'll need to speak with the city attorney before we do anything," Mr. McWayne said.
The building has 10 tenants including Re-Sale America, which takes up the entire third floor.
