■ BROWNVILLE — The village will hold a cleanup day Friday. Trash will be accepted from residents without charge, except for tires, hazardous materials, paints, batteries, brush, stones and metal.

■ The first Art Literally show and sale, in which artwork was displayed for two weeks before a May 9 gala at Flower Memorial Library, raised $15,646 for the American Red Cross of Northern New York and the library.

■ DEXTER — The village Planning Board will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. May 28 on a proposed 28-lot subdivision requested by Donald J. Converse. Mr. Converse intends to build single-family houses on a 54-acre parcel on Route 53.
