CANTON — The St. Lawrence University men's hockey team will play three NCAA tournament teams in October as the Saints revealed their 2008-09 schedule Monday.

St. Lawrence opens the season on Oct. 10 and 11 at Michigan, which advanced to the NCAA Division I Frozen Four this past April. The Saints follow that series with road games at Rochester Institute of Technology and Niagara on Oct. 17 and 18, respectively. The Purple Eagles were also in the NCAA tournament field.

SLU plays its first home game of the season against New Hampshire — a third NCAA tournament team — at 3 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Appleton Arena.

St. Lawrence will travel to Clarkson on Jan. 9, and the Golden Knights will head to SLU on Jan. 10 in the nonconference games. The ECAC Hockey matchups will take place at St. Lawrence on Feb. 6 and at Clarkson the following night.
